Cincinnati's first independently organized TED event will revel in the spirit of ideas worth spreading. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share passion, ideas and uncovers the energy behind life's most fearless pursuits. Cincinnati's leading thinkers and doers will speak for 18 minutes each to amplify the impact of their remarkable projects and activities. Tickets are $55 for general admission & $35 for students. Opening reception of "Journey" exhibits

Three riveting exhibits, "A Mother's Journey," "An Artist's Journey with Mental Illness," and "Our Journey," will be unveiled exploring mental illness from a variety of perspectives.  A suggested donation of $5 will benefit the National Alliance on Mental Illness and the CCAC. Popopolis will be back on Fountain Square for its second year celebrating Cincinnati's rich pop/rock history as well as its current cutting-edge music scene. The event simultaneously showcases up-and-coming artists in Cincinnati as well as a "reunion" of bands featuring sets from some of Popopolis' original performers. Free & open to the public. HUMAN/NATURE: New Works & Things by Ryan P. Young

Fabricate Gallery features Ryan Young's work that focuses on the tendencies of the human race through the lens of human evolution.  With each piece illustrating the delicate relationship between humans and the environment, the woodcut hybrid animal shapes trigger viewers to contemplate how we as humans evolve morally and technologically without acting negligently towards the environment. 'Nati Work Party

The garden at Elm & Liberty Streets, Over-the-Rhine

350.org will construct a hoop house for the urban farming program of Findlay Market at the corner of Elm and Liberty in OTR. Urban farmers will be able to extend their growing season and increase their locally grown and sold produce throughout the year. Join the work and party efforts and help contribute to the growing urban agriculture in Cincinnati. More info here.
