The region’s first Mobility Solutions Summit will take place in August, and business leaders and organizations are invited to submit ideas for improving transportation.
The summit will be held August 19–21 and will be an interactive three-day event that will connect local groups with international mobility experts as a means to develop solutions to the region’s transportation and mobility challenges.
Businesses, nonprofits, local governments, and other organizations are encouraged to apply and submit project ideas, which must be in by June 24.
Those organizations selected will be paired with a mobility company to develop and implement a solution specific to that organization’s needs, according to the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber, organizer of the event.
Solutions may include improving the employee commuting experience, circulating employees between multiple locations, product and service delivery, and more.
“We realize that organizations across the region have mobility challenges they need to solve today,” says Pete Metz, the transportation initiatives manager for the chamber. “Bringing experts and entrepreneurs in the mobility space to the region to help solve problems will make a real improvement in our growth and connectivity.”
To be eligible, participants must:
· Be located within the eight-county Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana region.
· Be willing and able to work with a mobility organization to develop solutions.
· Have the ability and intent to implement potential solutions.
During the summit, the chamber will highlight the region for selected mobility experts and will pair regional transportation challenges with potential problem solvers to develop solutions.
The summit will end on August 21 with a showcase of those solutions at the Woodward Theater in Over-the-Rhine, which will be open to the general public.
Applicants will be notified of their participation by July 12.
