Midwest Gas, located in Northern Kentucky's Highland Heights, is a full-service propane gas distributor and service provider. The company was founded by the husband-and-wife team of Robert and Ruth Green in the years following WWII. They couple started working out of their home with just one customer.
Today the couple's three children own the company, including president Mike Green. The company has grown and changed with the public's energy needs. Today, the company serves both residential and business customers. It also services the recreational community including camper and RV owners.
Midwest Gas serves customers in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region out of its Highland Heights office. A second branch office in Falmouth, Ky. services customers further south in Kentucky.
In 2009 Midwest Gas was presented with a Northern Kentucky Chamber Small Business "SUCCESS" award in manufacturing and distribution. And in 2010 it was named a U.S. Chamber of Commerce
Free Enterprise honoree along with 24 other companies across the nation. The designation is part of the U.S. Chambers Blue Ribbon Dream Big Small business of the year program.
