When Nan Jayaram arrived in Cincinnati from Bangalore, India, in 1997 he brought with him a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, five years of impressive work experience, and a refreshing "it takes a village" philosophy on business-to-business relationships.  

One decade later, equipped with a Masters Degree in Information Systems from Xavier and ten years' experience under his belt as a senior technical consultant with Convergys, Jayaram was ready to apply this novel business perspective to a company of his own.

Since founding CoStrategix in 2006, the CEO has drawn upon his own entrepreneurial spirit and expertise, and that of his 63 talented employees, to assist in the startup and growth initiatives of other companies.  

In what Jayaram refers to as the "co-creation of value," he and his CoStrategix team- representing a wide breadth of technology and business expertise- understand the parallel significance of sustaining their own growing business while lending a hand in the growth and development of others.  

With a focus on employing technology to enable business strategy, the one-stop business solutions company works with a diverse client profile, from those requiring complex data-driven systems to mid-sized companies interested in improving their web presence.   

Though start-ups represent only a quarter of the young company's business, they hold an understandably special place in the heart of the CoStrategix group.  Everyone has to begin somewhere, and the Blue Ash company feels a true commitment to making success happen for those with the heart and determination they realize it takes.

"Start-up innovation has been integral to the foundation and growth of CoStrategix, which makes it important for us to nurture a sense of innovation and entrepreneurship in our community," explains Jayaram.

Evidence of that commitment is the company's involvement with Cincinnati Innovates, an area wide competition for people eager to jump-start their unique business concepts.  This year, CoStrategix is sponsoring a $5,000 web development award to assist in bringing one lucky winner's dream to life.

According to VP of Sales and Marketing Bill Cunningham, this "village" philosophy puts everyone on top.  "What we invest in the community will ultimately create value for our own company and the region as well."  

Success breeds success, as they say, and CoStrategix's enlightening perspective is proving to be a win-win example for the many villagers in the Greater Cincinnati business community.
