Stained Glass : 6 WEEKS : JULY- AUG

Learn the Tiffany Copper Foil technique of stained glass with step-by-step instruction and all the tools you need! You will have a variety of glasses to choose from for specific class projects. Drawing Fundamentals Mondays : 6 WEEKS : JULY - AUG

Mondays, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. $90 for non-members per 6-week session $81 for members per 6-week session Classes will focus on developing basic drawing skills from direct observation and lighted still life arrangements. Students will learn how to create the illusion of form through the use of shape, perspective and tonal value. Critiques develop students' abilities to think critically about their own work and maintaining their art journal will allow students to record thoughts, experiment with ideas, media, and practice ideas. Each session lasts for six weeks allowing basic skills to build over time. This program is ideal for beginners, as well as more advanced students. Students are asked to bring their own supplies. Advanced Wheel : 6 WEEKS : JULY-AUG

Ages 15 & older, 6-week sessions : Monday evening $180 for non-members/ $62 for members All Supplies Included Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. ArtsConnect offers pottery wheel classes for all levels: Intro, Intermediate and Advanced. Start with the Intro and progressively get better! Intro to Wheel, teaches participants the basics of throwing clay on a pottery wheel. Students will learn important pottery studio rules and procedures used in all of our pottery classes. Intro to Wheel class is mandatory for those wanting to buy a pottery studio pass to use the studio during open times. This class will help students refine their centering skills, learn to throw larger items and work on attachments such as handles and lids. Materials Included: 25 lb clay, glaze, firing and use of tools. Intermediate to Wheel is offered twice a week, Monday mornings and Thursday evenings. Once students have mastered the basic skills of the wheel then move to our Advanced Wheel class. The Advanced Wheel class offers more challenging and advanced techniques. Participants must be proficient in centering, have taken Intermediate Wheel or have instructor recommendation. The cost of each pottery class includes all supplies. Supplies provided are: 25 lb white clay, glazes, all the firing needed, and the use of our clay tools. Things like mono prints, relief prints and stamping. Kids will have fun learning unique ways to draw and paint. At ArtsConnect, we encourage children to explore their creativity independently to foster confidence and original thinking. While we ask that you sign your child in to class, to help your child gain the most from their class experience we kindly request that parents refrain from staying in the classroom. African Group Drumming : 6 weeks : MAY - JUNE

Mondays, 6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. $100 non-member/ $90 member Drop-in for a single class for $20 In West Africa, rhythm is a part of everyday life. Join us as we learn some traditional and contemporary rhythms of the nations of Guinea, Mali and Senegal regions of West Africa. Drumming is fun, therapeutic and promotes unity in a group setting connecting us. Learn to be in unity while playing with others in this group class. All ages are welcome. Drums are provided, although if you have an African Djembe drum, please bring it. Register for a 6-week session or come when you can and pay a drop-in fee of $20. INTRO to Handbuilding Pottery 6 WEEK : JULY-AUG

Intro to Hand-Building Mondays: 6:00 - 8:30 pm $170 Non-Member / $153 Member Ages 15 and over Intro to Hand-building is a beginner-friendly ceramics class that introduces students to the foundational techniques of building with clay by hand. Students will learn essential methods such as pinch pots, coil building, and slab construction while creating both functional and decorative ceramic pieces. This class focuses on understanding the properties of clay, basic construction techniques, surface decoration, and glazing. No prior clay experience is needed, making this the perfect starting point for students interested in exploring creativity through ceramics without using the pottery wheel. Acrylic Painting Basics
