Come and paint with us at the Cincinnati Observatory! Join us for a fun and creative night out where we'll learn how to paint a beautiful space-related masterpiece. You don't need any experience to join - each step of the painting process will be guided by Sarah Hellmann from Art for All People. Plus, enjoy delicious light bites while creating your beautiful artwork. The evening will end with viewing through our historic telescope (if clear). The cost is $60 per person and includes all your supplies, food, and drinks. The cost of the ticket benefits Art for All People and the Cincinnati Observatory. Recommended for ages 16+. Meet our artist for the evening, Sarah Hellmann! Sarah Hellmann is an author, artist, and speaker. After earning her PhD from the University of Cincinnati, she founded the nonprofit, Art for All People, a ministry that brings the arts to those effected by incarceration, addiction, mental illness, human trafficking, and veterans who suffer from PTSD. Sarah is a life-long artist. Her mission is to encourage others to use their inherent creativity toward healing and empowerment. Sarah recently published her book, Broken-Down Jalopies and Other Short Stories: Perspective Changes Everything. Available on Amazon. Asianati Night Market brings the vibrant sights, sounds, flavors, and traditions of Asia to Cincinnati during BLINK® Cincinnati. Taking place October 8–11, 2026, the night market transforms Court Street Plaza into a lively destination featuring Asian cuisine, entertainment, games, activities, art, and shopping. Guests can explore a variety of Asian food vendors, with the 2026 market featuring 17 vendors offering a diverse selection of flavors and street food-inspired dishes. The celebration also features daily performances, including cultural entertainment and special appearances throughout the weekend. Visitors can take part in games and activities, shop from local makers and vendors, and discover Asian-inspired arts and merchandise. The market creates a festive atmosphere surrounded by captivating art installations, bringing together food, culture, creativity, and community in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. Thursday through Saturday hours are 5–11 PM, while Sunday runs from 5–10 PM, giving guests plenty of opportunities to visit throughout the four-day celebration. Drawing Fundamentals Wednesdays : 6 CLASSES : SEPT - OCT

Learning how to draw just became easier with step-by-step instruction from our talented drawing instructor! Classes will focus on developing basic drawing skills from direct observation and lighted still life arrangements. Students will learn how to create the illusion of form through the use of shape, perspective and tonal value. Critiques develop students’ abilities to think critically about their own work and maintaining their art journal will allow students to record thoughts, experiment with ideas, media, and practice ideas. Each session lasts for six weeks allowing basic skills to build over time. This program is ideal for beginners, as well as more advanced students. Students are asked to bring their own supplies. See supply list below. Drawing classes will be held once a week from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at ArtsConnect Springfield Township Community Arts Center, 9158 Winton Rd, Building A, the building behind the fire station.
