A Lecture Series In the Ballroom: Here and There, An Artist Talk | March 19th | 6:00pm Plein-air Artist, Ryan Kerr, will discuss the inspiration and thought process behind his work, on display at Baker Hunt, from March 9th through April 3rd. View over 20 original works in oil, and hear from the artist. “By listening to the environment and bringing enough of myself to the moment, a transformation takes place on the surface of the painting.” – Ryan Kerr The gallery will have open hours between March 9th and April 3rd. March 19th | 6:00 pm (Doors open at 5:30 pm) Ryan is an artist and educator, originally from Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2019. During this time, he was an art editorial writer and received a scholarship for his figure drawings at Manifest Drawing Center. He has taught art as a public high school teacher in Cincinnati, and has worked professionally as a screen printer, an art handler, and an art restorer in Dallas, Texas. He attended the Mount Gretna School of Art in 2018 and again in 2023 and has had his artwork shown in The Bowery Gallery and Susan Eley Fine Art in New York City. So “Mush” Love for Mushrooms Cooking Class for Ages 16+ Thursday, March 19th, 2026 | 5:30-7:30pm Join Chef/Owner Tina Barger of The Shroomery at SA Farm to begin a foray into cooking with Gourmet Mushrooms. Chef Tina will teach you the basics of mushroom nutrition, storage and meal prep as she teaches you to prepare two of her own hearty pasta recipes for quick & delicious meals in minutes. Building the Amazon Nation: The Emergence of Lesbian Feminism in the United States

Ohio Lesbian Archives is excited to invite you to join us on Thursday, March 19th from 6-8pm for a lecture with LGBTQ+ scholar Dr. Daniel Rivers. Dr. Rivers’ lecture “Building the Amazon Nation: The Emergence of Lesbian Feminism in the United States” will offer a historical overview of lesbian feminism in the 1970s and discuss some of the ways this history is reflected in the holdings of the Ohio Lesbian Archives. This event is being held at Memorial Hall (1225 Elm St. Cincinnati, OH, 45202) and the lecture will begin at 6pm followed by a reception with a cash bar and light snacks. Join new and experienced poets in a space that honors world-changing words and rooted community.Bring a poem, story, or song to share in the relaxed and welcoming historic Edgemont Inn tavern space at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House museum. Hosted by poet and storyteller Zeda Stew. Light refreshments included. What was the Edgemont Inn?In the 1930s and 40s, the Edgemont Inn was the first floor tavern at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House. During these years, it was a Black-run boarding house and listed in the Green Book--a national directory of businesses that welcomed Black travelers and residents during the Great Migration of African Americans out of the South into northern cities. The tavern was the site of community parties, meetings, rallies, family gatherings and more. What is the Harriet Beecher Stowe House museum?The Harriet Beecher Stowe House bears witness to generations joining their voices for truth in the nation's struggle toward freedom and humanity for all.
