NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD presented by Wisenheimers and Commonwealth Comedy Club

A screening of the classic zombie flick with live comedy commentary from WISENHEIMERS. Doors at 7:30 PM, show at 8:30 PM Brian Simpson is a stand-up comedian based in Austin, TX. His background as a foster child and Marine Corps veteran has led to a rare combination of life experiences that he manages to channel into a refreshingly unique point of view. Brian is a paid regular at the World-Famous Comedy Store as well as The Comedy Mothership, and was named a New Face 2021 at the prestigious Just For Laughs Comedy Festival, and most recently Variety’s Top Comics to Watch 2023. Brian made his TV debut on Comedy Central’s Lights Out with David Spade, and you can catch him currently streaming on Netflix’s Season 3 of The Standups, That’s My Time with David Letterman, and in his debut one-hour Netflix special Brian Simpson: Live from the Mothership. Commonwealth Comedy Club is Cincinnati’s home for exquisitely curated live entertainment. Each week we bring you hilarious stand-up comedians, intimate concerts, unique theater productions, live podcast recordings, and so much more. Commonwealth Comedy Club is housed in the recently renovated, historic former Tower Methodist Church, originally built in 1914. It is no longer a church! Rather, we have converted the purpose of this beautiful old building to bringing you exquisitely curated live entertainment. FotoFocus Biennial: Bus Tour of All Galleries at the Art Academy of Cincinnati

The FotoFocus Biennial, now in its eighth iteration, activates over 70 exhibitions at museums, galleries, universities, and public spaces throughout Greater Cincinnati, Dayton, Columbus, and Northern Kentucky in October 2026. Each Biennial is structured around a unifying theme; the 2026 theme, The Long View, considers aspects of time and perspective in photography and film, and how these mediums shape our understanding of the world. FotoFocus welcomes global artists, curators, critics, educators, and visitors to Cincinnati with exhibitions, talks, performances, screenings, and panel discussions during its Biennial Opening Events, October, 1–3, 2026. Bearing Witness, Over Everything, Untwined/Interwoven, and Depth of Field, are four exhibitions concurring exhibitions part of The Long View. This installation includes the four exhibitions and five free public events featuring internationally recognized artists, AAC alumni, and emerging student artists and curators. Across four campus galleries, FotoFocus at AAC explores photography as a means of documenting history, preserving memory, examining the present, and imagining what comes next. The exhibitions at the Art Academy of Cincinnati will be free and open to the public October 9–31, 2026. Flutist Demarre McGill joins the program performing Valerie Coleman’s Danza de la Mariposa, a colorful tour of South America. The concert closes with Amy Beach’s elegant Theme and Variations, combining the flute and string quartet to weave a tapestry of sound.
