Creating Comics Camp
Presented by Fitton Center for Creative Arts at Fitton Center For Creative Arts Hamilton, OH
Creating Comics Camp June 8 - 12 | 1:00 – 4:00pm Age: 12 - 16 Instructor: Billy Simms $110/members, $130/non-members Are you an aspiring graphic novelist? Then this is the camp for you! Campers will develop a long-form comic (graphic novel) by developing a plot and script, creating characters, and a setting. The comics created can be one continuous story or a collection of related stories. Friends and family are invited to join us during the last 15 minutes of camp on Friday for an art show! This project is supported by the generosity of tens of thousands of contributors to the annual ArtsWave Campaign, the Cincinnati region's primary source for arts funding. Kid's Summer Art Workshops: Funky Fiber Art
Presented by Delhi Event Center Arts Programming at Delhi Event Center Cincinnati, OH
Funky Fiber Arts will get kids’ hands busy and their imaginations soaring. From the ancient art of weaving to modern tie-dye techniques, they will explore the versatile world of fabrics. They’ll use fabric ink and rollers to print custom designs onto a canvas tote using Lino blocks, and learn to do the running and blanket stitches as they create a one-of-a-kind stuffed animal. Afternoons. $200/week Morning Arts Session - Students enrolled in an afternoon arts workshop also may select a five-day morning session that will include classroom arts activities and games, and may include extension work for their afternoon workshop.
