Author Bio: Linda Busken Jergens discovered as an adolescent, to her surprise, that her words had the power to elicit delightful responses from classmates. Soon she realized that writing poetry was an economical and efficient way to express what she was noticing around her and within her fanciful imagination. This was fun! She has been playing with words ever since. Linda has published her work in St. Luke's Review, and A Poetry Anthology, Greater Cincinnati Writers League, where she is a member. Linda was a long-time writer and supporter of Women Writing for (a) Change, a Cincinnati writing community, and has attended writing workshops in Taos, NM, and Kenyon College. Linda earned a BA from Denison University and a BS from Columbia University in social work. She participated in the Experiment in International Living in Austria, and the World Council of Churches work with Hungarian refugees in Austria. She has practiced as a licensed independent social worker (LISW) in the State of Ohio. Linda has also studied spiritual direction, and established a private practice. She is married to Andrew MacAoidh Jergens, a retired Episcopal priest, and has two stepsons, Peter and Andrew. She and her husband live at Deupree House, a retirement home in Cincinnati. Her interests include genealogy, expedition travel, American colonial history, volunteering on Indian reservations, and lineage societies. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Union, Society of Descendents of the Mayflower, and Society of Colonial Dames of America. This…
