Silent Movies Made Musical with the Mighty Wurlitzer
Presented by Friends of Music Hall at Music Hall Cincinnati, OH
Buckle up for a swashbuckling adventure as The Mark of Zorro, the classic 1920 silent film, comes to life in the Music Hall Ballroom with live accompaniment on the Mighty Wurlitzer theatre organ. Join Friends of Music Hall as we recreate the nostalgic magic of this landmark movie, featuring renowned organist and silent film scorer Clark Wilson. Watch Douglas Fairbanks as Don Diego Vega, the seemingly foolish nobleman whose masked alter ego, Zorro, combats injustice with skill, wit, and a flashing sword. Every duel, flourish, and daring escape is heightened by the soaring tones of the Wurlitzer, performed live by Wilson—one of the foremost silent film accompanists. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind evening of cinematic adventure showcasing the Wurlitzer organ, the instrument designed for its silent movie accompaniment and sound effects to replace an entire orchestra! Hunter Hayes: The Evergreen Tour
Presented by Taft Theatre at Taft Theatre Cincinnati, OH
5x GRAMMY® nominated and PLATINUM-selling, multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Hunter Hayes announced his new album, Evergreen, releasing March 6th, 2026. In addition to the forthcoming album, Hayes also announced his 2026 headlining Evergreen Tour, which will kick off on March 25th in Hopewell, VA and stop by Cincinnati, OH for a performance at Taft Theatre on Friday, April 17. Franklin Jonas & The Byzantines will support as special guests for the Cincinnati performance. This new project features pop, country, R&B, and indie rock-infused elements while exploring themes of growth, connection, and joy. Recorded with Alex Flagstad, Evergreen captures the full scope of Hayes’ creativity – songs that are as emotionally rich as they are musically daring. From the buoyant optimism of “Around the Sun,” to the playful vulnerability of “Every Piece,” and the infectious tension of “Wait,” these recent releases reveal Hayes as a songwriter in constant evolution, whose heart-forward storytelling continues to resonate across generations. Of the record, Hayes says, “Evergreen started as a series of letters from my future self. In some ways a prayer, and in some ways manifestation. I wanted to make a project from the future. It’s full of hope, optimism, light and love. It’s an escape from reality as well as a new way to appreciate the good things in our everyday life, and how every experience shapes us to better and brighter versions of ourselves as we create a better version of our future.” A warm, cinematic statement on growth, renewal and self-discovery, Evergreen…
