An evening of laughs with NICO CARNEY Doors at 6:00 PM, show at 7:00 PM Nico Carney is a Brooklyn-based stand-up, writer, and actor. He was recently cast in the independent feature film from Gloria Sanchez Productions, HERE FOR THE WEEKEND, starring opposite Patti Harrison as the romantic lead. Nico also stars in the indie film SHE'S THE HE, which premiered at SXSW in 2025. In 2024, he made his late-night debut on LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS and was named a 2024 Comic You Should And Will Know by Vulture. Nico was selected as a JFL New Face in 2023 and was part of the inaugural Netflix "Introducing..." showcase at the 2022 Netflix Is a Joke festival as well as being a featured comedian in the 2025 CBS Showcase. He and his comedy partner Conor Janda also co-host the podcast and live show, BOYS CLUB. Commonwealth Comedy Club is Cincinnati’s home for exquisitely curated live entertainment. Each week we bring you hilarious stand-up comedians, intimate concerts, unique theater productions, live podcast recordings, and so much more. Commonwealth Comedy Club is housed in the recently renovated, historic former Tower Methodist Church, originally built in 1914. It is no longer a church! Rather, we have converted the purpose of this beautiful old building to bringing you exquisitely curated live entertainment. The Marvelous Mr. Mozart

The Cincinnati Choral Society, under its new Artistic Director, Dr. Scot Buzza, and in collaboration with the Blue Ash Montgomery Symphony Orchestra, Michael Chertock, Artistic Director, will commemorate the 270th anniversary of Mozart’s death by presenting three representative masterworks written for cathedral, court, and stage. Featured pianists are Manisha Patel and Julia Sicciliano. In 1779, the 23-year-old Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart begrudgingly wrote the CoronationMass (K. 317) to fulfill the requirements of a job he didn’t want. Despite bristling under the Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg, the composer managed to create the most beloved of his sacred works. That same year, with an eye toward escaping to Vienna, he composed the quintessential double concerto of the keyboard repertoire, his Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra in E-flat (K. 365). A decade later, Mozart wrote his Overture to The Magic Flute for Vienna’s Freihaus-Theater auf der Wieden, as prelude to the opera (K. 620) that would be the composer’s final completed work. The concert is presented free of charge, with goodwill donations supporting both organizations. Seating is limited. The Art of Charley Harper: Creatures Wild and Tame takes an in-depth look at the work of the beloved mid-century modern artist, designer, illustrator, and nature advocate. Harper’s “minimal realism,” as he called his style, is deceptively simple, reducing nature to essential characteristics in elegant, witty, vividly colored imagery that breathes with life and personality. Deeply committed to wildlife conservation, Harper created dozens of now-iconic posters for the National Park Service and nature organizations. Featuring more than 140 of the artist’s drawings, gouaches, collages, screen prints, paintings, and posters, Creatures Wild and Tame and its accompanying catalog (published by D Giles Ltd) reveal the backstories behind Harper’s celebrated work. This exhibition is organized by the Cincinnati Art Museum in partnership with the Charley Harper Art Studio. Beginning at 1 p.m., enjoy snacks and a cash bar in the Marek Family Commons. We recommend parking in our lower lot and entering through either the Perry Education entrance or DeWitt entrance. Join us for a panel discussion to celebrate the opening of the exhibition The Art of Charley Harper: Creatures Wild and Tame, featuring Brett Harper, son of Charley and Edie Harper, Thane Maynard of the Cincinnati Zoo, Tamera Muente of the Taft Museum of Art, and Julie Aronson of the Cincinnati Art Museum. About the panelists: Brett Harper is the owner and director of the Harper family art studio, where he has guided the company for more than three decades. He oversees the selection of Charley and Edie Harper images for reproduction, determines the products on which they appear, and grants the licenses best suited to their mid-century modernist work. Named after the photographer Brett Weston, he has collaborated with major museums on high-profile exhibitions across the United States and internationally, drawing from the studio’s extensive archives to advance the Harper legacy. A graduate of Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in English and a self-taught artist, Brett lives in the Lebanon, Ohio, area with his wife, Sandra. Thane Maynard retired from his role as Executive Director of the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden and now serves as Executive Chair, remaining actively engaged in advancing the Zoo’s mission by raising awareness through storytelling, conservation advocacy, and public engagement. Maynard has written more than a dozen books focused on wildlife and conservation. His most recent work, Hope for Animals & Their World, was coauthored with primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall.
