10x10 Teen Expo Opening Party
Presented by Cincinnati Art Museum at Cincinnati Art Museum Cincinnati, OH
Free, drop-in. Registration not required. Join us in the Marek Family Commons on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1–3 p.m. to celebrate the artists who contributed to the 2026 10x10 Teen Art Expo, “Connection.” Our 10x10 Teen Team is planning fun activities including art making, a photo booth, and button making. No need to register! Just drop in with your family, see your artwork, and enjoy snacks while they last. Costume Contest: Dynamic Duos Think of a unique connection, find a partner, dress up, and show off your creativity! Awards will be given out for the best pairs of costumes. Artwork will be on display in the Marek Family Commons from April 14–19 during museum hours. Deaf Day at the Harriet Beecher Stowe House!

Professional ASL interpreters will be paired with a Harriet Beecher Stowe House Educator to guide visitors through the powerful history held within these walls. Guests will explore two pivotal moments in the house’s story — 100 years apart: • 1840 — When abolitionist author Harriet Beecher Stowe lived in Cincinnati as a young teacher and mother preparing to write Uncle Tom’s Cabin.• 1940 — When African-American proprietor Irene Bacon operated the home as the Edgemont Inn, a boarding house and tavern proudly listed in the Green Book. Discover how this space has served as both a literary landmark and a vital center of Black entrepreneurship and community life. Tickets are available on our website or by walk-in and tours start on the hour with the last tour being 3pm. Your ticket includes admission to our outdoor exhibit and rotating exhibit display. Airbrush Workshop

This class is a one day 5 hour workshop for those whose weekday schedule doesn’t allow for taking on new challenges but who have time on weekends to learn a new form of art. The workshop runs 10:00am-3:00pm. In the first half of the workshop you will be introduced to the airbrush, its history and the basics of how it works. You will be shown the different techniques of using stencils, masks, and free handing. A short break will be taken to allow for a quick bite to eat and to stretch your legs. In the second half we will discuss the different airbrushes and equipment needed to get started with the art of airbrushing. We will then finish this session with a group project which will consist of all the techniques that you have been taught. The cost is $150.00 with ALL SUPPLIES PROVIDED, however if a student has their own airbrush they are encouraged to bring it . PUSCIFER: The Normal Isn't Tour

Puscifer, the multi-dimensional band featuring Maynard James Keenan, Mat Mitchell and Carina Round, brings their highly-anticipated Normal Isn’t Tour to Taft Theatre on April 19. The tour celebrates the band’s first new album in over five years, Normal Isn’t (Feb. 6, Puscifer Entertainment/Alchemy Recordings/BMG). The record channels the post-punk influences that shaped the members’ early musical experiences while pushing into darker, more guitar-driven territory. “We’re definitely leaning into our early influences,” Keenan shares. “It’s the place where goth meets punk. It’s where I came from.” Written and recorded across Arizona, Los Angeles, and on the road during last year’s Sessanta tour, Normal Isn’t blends the dark electronics and sharp humor Puscifer is known for with a more spontaneous creative process. “From the outset, we had discussed an element of rawness and edge, which guitar brings,” shares Mitchell, who co-produced the album. “We got rid of the guard rails and made the music more aggressive. For Keenan, this release represents a new approach to songwriting. While he’s always been deeply involved in shaping Puscifer’s sound, this time he set-up his own digital recording system and built full song ideas before presenting them to Mat and Carina. That shift gives the music fresh immediacy, one that Round says changed the dynamic in the studio. “Instead of just saying, ‘I want this to sound like Fleetwood Mac on cocaine if they had a baby with PJ Harvey,’ Maynard was showing us his intention, which was really cool,” she explains. “In Puscifer, any idea…

Cincinnati Choral Society Presents Choral Voices … Plus One

Join Cincinnati Choral Society for our Spring concert, Choral Voices … Plus One, featuring pieces for choral voices plus one instrument, including violin, horn, percussion and organ. With selections from mostly living composers, we are so excited to collaborate with local Cincinnati musicians to bring you this program. Each of the instrumentalists will be featured with the choir in a set of three pieces. The concert will close with two pieces that feature the choir and the entire instrumental ensemble There is a great variety of music in the program representing different musical time periods, styles and cultures. From the well-known Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring by J.S. Bach, to the moving Ngothando with djembe by South African composer Mbuso Ndlovu, to the beautiful Set Me as a Seal with horn by Richard Nance, there is truly something for everyone. The addition of the violin, horn and percussion instrumental colors to the beautiful SATB voices of the Cincinnati Choral Society will be an exciting combination not to be missed. The concert is free with donations gratefully accepted. This will be the final concert for Artistic Director, Phil Clary, and Assistant Artistic Director, Lisa Peters, who will both conduct pieces during this concert. We hope you will join us for what is bound to be a special and memorable concert to kick off 2026.
