Reduction Screenprinting
Presented by Tiger Lily Press at Tiger Lily Press at Dunham Rec Center Cincinnati, OH
Reduction screenprinting is a painterly way to create screenprints. With one stencil, you’ll use screen filler to progressively add layers to your print, going from the lightest colors to the darkest. You’ll be able to make a 3-4 color print of your very own design using this method, creating an edition of prints to take home at the end. We will go over screenprinting basics such as how to paint screen filler into the screen, select the correct colors and order for reduction printing, and to register and print your design. No previous screenprinting experience is necessary, but some drawing and painting experience is preferred. Network
Presented by Cincinnati Shakespeare Company at The Otto M. Budig Theater Cincinnati, OH
Set in 1970s America, as television tightens its grip on American culture, veteran anchorman Howard Beale unravels live on air. What begins as a breakdown becomes a broadcast phenomenon. Soaring ratings transform him into an unlikely prophet for a network hungry for spectacle, in a world where outrage sells and attention is the ultimate currency. A sensation on Broadway and in London, Network blurs the line between news and entertainment with explosive consequences. This project is supported by the generosity of tens of thousands of contributors to the annual ArtsWave Campaign, the Cincinnati region's primary source for arts funding. Branford Marsalis & Dianne Reeves Celebrate John Coltrane
Presented by Cincinnati Arts Association at Procter & Gamble Hall at the Aronoff Center Cincinnati, OH
September 2026 marks the centennial of John Coltrane’s birth. To honor the enduring legacy of one of jazz’s most transcendent voices, the Branford Marsalis Quartet and Dianne Reeves will release a tribute album which revisits Coltrane’s seminal 1963 collaboration with Johnny Hartman (coming in the fall of 2026 on Blue Note Records), to be followed by a worldwide tour. Branford Marsalis Quartet Saxophonist Branford Marsalis is one of the most influential and revered figures in contemporary music. The NEA Jazz Master, three-time Grammy Award winner, and Tony and EMMY Award nominee is equally at home performing concertos with symphony orchestras and sitting in with members of the Grateful Dead, but the core of his musical universe remains the Branford Marsalis Quartet. After more than three decades of existence with minimal personnel changes, this celebrated ensemble is revered for its uncompromising interpretation of a kaleidoscopic range of both original compositions and jazz and popular classics. After receiving Grammy nominations on its last two albums, Upward Spiral and The Secret Between the Shadow and the Soul, the Quartet made its Blue Note Records debut in 2025 with the release of Belonging, a full album interpretation of Keith Jarrett's 1974 ECM album of the same name. Dianne Reeves Five-time Grammy winner Dianne Reeves is the world’s pre-eminent jazz vocalist. As a result of her virtuosity, improvisational prowess, and unique jazz and R&B stylings, Reeves received the Grammy for “Best Jazz Vocal Performance” for three consecutive recordings — a Grammy first in any vocal…
