Kids STEAM - ART & SCIENCE : 6 WEEKS MARCH - APR

Ages 7 - 13, Tuesdays 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. $80 for non-members / $72 for members Projects vary based on the topic. Use a variety of materials and create projects such as kaleidoscopes and light-up wands to learn about light, color, and engineering. Create mobiles and learn about wind technology. Explore the Fibonacci Sequence and repetition found in nature. Watch what happens when you mix oil and water to create beautiful marbleized papers. These and so much more! All supplies included. Classes are held at the ArtsConnect building, 9158 Winton Rd (building behind the fire station). At ArtsConnect, we encourage children to explore their creativity independently to foster confidence and original thinking. While we ask that you sign your child in to class, to help your child gain the most from their class experience we kindly request that parents refrain from staying in the classroom. During class, we invite you to enjoy our complimentary coffee and tea, free Wi-Fi, and comfortable seating areas indoors and outdoors. Kids Cooking 6 Classes : MARCH - APR

Ages 7 - 13, Tuesday $100 for non-members per 6-week session $90 for members per 6-week session Our program uses the successful cooking curriculum, Edible Education. A new menu will be featured each session. Students will learn about food safety and how to make wise food choices in recipes. Students will learn to prepare a dish each class and share it with their friends. During the 6-week session, students will learn to make main dishes, sides, snacks, deserts and drinks using fresh ingredients. Each class will introduce a specific food item, it's origin and health benefits. They will follow along with the instructor in preparing the food and then enjoy tasting it afterwards. They will take home the recipe so they can prepare it for family and friends. Metalsmithing Jewelry Basics : 6 WEEKS : MARCH - APR

ArtsConnect partners with HighGrain Brewery on Tuesdays to offer a variety of ArtsConnect art workshops from some of their gifted instructors. The first Tuesday of the month is Pottery Projects and the third Tuesday of the month is Make It, Take It Projects. Enjoy a beer on tap or a glass of wine while creating art! Food and drinks are available for purchase but are not included in the workshop price. Pottery Projects 1st Wednesday of the Month 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Pottery Projects vary from glazing a pre-made pottery piece or creating your own hand-built clay mug. In hand-building you will sculpt a clay mug. Select a glaze color and the instructor will glaze it once it has been fired. Pottery Painting : FEB 4, APR 1, JUNE 3 $40 / $36 Hand-built Clay Mug : MARCH 4, MAY 6 $50 / $45 After your piece is fired, you can pick it up at ArtsConnect. The Simon & Garfunkel Story

The Simon & Garfunkel Story is touring North America again this year! Using huge projection photos and original film footage, the show features a full live band performing all the hits, including "Mrs. Robinson," "Cecilia," "Bridge Over Troubled Water," "Homeward Bound," and many more. The immersive concert-style theater show chronicles the amazing journey shared by the folk-rock duo Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. It tells the story from their humble beginnings as Tom & Jerry to their incredible success as one of the best-selling music groups of the ‘60s to their dramatic split in 1970. It culminates with the famous “The Concert in Central Park” reunion in 1981 with more than half-a-million fans in attendance. With more than 100 million album sales since 1965, Simon & Garfunkel’s perfect harmonies and songs that poignantly captured the times made them one of the most successful folk-rock duos of all time. Over the years, they won ten Grammy® Awards and were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1990. In 1977, their Bridge Over Troubled Water album was nominated at the Brit Awards for Best International Album.
