Arts and Crafts with Rhinegeist Brewery
Presented by Cincinnati Art Museum at Cincinnati Art Museum Cincinnati, OH
Tickets required. Ticket sales open one month before the event. Members: $25. General public: $35. Wind down the week with Arts and Crafts, where craft beer meets creative expression. Enjoy a curated tasting of Rhinegeist Brewery selections, featuring one of their newest beers, “Expressionism.” Go on a short, docent-led tour highlighting Expressionist and Abstract Expressionist work on view in the galleries. Then, try your hand at creating your own Expressionist-inspired artwork with support from museum educators. Each participant will receive one full complimentary Rhinegeist beer to sip on while you work! Additional beer will be available for purchase. Participants must be 21 years of age or older. Mindful Poetry Young Professionals Gathering - April 2nd, 2026

This year during April for National Poetry Month, The Well is holding space for Cincinnati-based Young Professionals for an evening of nourishing community and creativity in their Walnut Hills space. The format is simple. In each session, we meditate, consider a single poem, receive a prompt, write, and then share with the group. Afterward, we invite attendees to remain for a half hour of fellowship. Poems generated by attendees during this session can be submitted for publication in our 7th edition of the Mindful Poetry Moments anthology! This year's poems have been curated by Eddie Gonzalez. In this session... Poem: “Heliophilia” by Aimee Nezhukumatathil Mindfulness Facilitator: Stacy Sims Poem Facilitator: Michael Thompson Come in-person with a pen, paper, and an open heart. Art From The Heart - Grief & Rage

We will start with a grounding guided meditation from a local yoga and mindfulness teacher - Laila Aladimi, then move into somatic movements through painting led by two local artists - Chris Sifri & Laila Shaikh , we will then end with a guided meditation. This event is designed for those who are experiencing any grief and anger surrounding the ongoing genocides we are witnessing today as well as any generational or racial trauma and would like to be in a communal space where this is welcome to process and discuss. Oil Painting: 6 WEEKS MARCH-APRIL

Oil paints are rich, vivid and vibrant. There are certain techniques that artists use in order to be successful with this beautiful medium. Whether you have never painted with oil paint or are just dusting off your brushes, this is the class for you! Our expert instructor, Chris Taulbee will guide you with step-by-step instruction on how to use oil paint materials. With your first painting, you will learn how to work with a three-color palette, how to mix color, how to show lights and darks to create dimension, and how to shade seamlessly from one shade to the next. In the last two weeks of the session, we will either create another guided still-life painting or you may stretch your wings and do a painting of your own choice. Our instructor will go from easel to easel, offering assistance and giving advice. Class Structure: Classes will be held once a week, for six- week sessions. This program is ideal for beginners, as well as advanced students. Some drawing abilities are helpful. Class members are asked to bring their own paint supplies.
