Fitton’s Home for Imaginary Friends Camp June 22 – 26 | 9:30am - 12:30pm Age: 7 - 12 Instructor: Kate Schaich $110/members, $130/non-members Step into a world all your own! Campers will dream up their very own imaginary friends and bring them to life through drawing, painting, sculpture, fiber art, and mixed media. From big-mouthed clay creatures to custom-built homes and hand-sewn felt squishies, artists will explore creativity, storytelling, and character design as they imagine companions only they can see. It’s a week of whimsical world-building where anything - and anyone - is possible! Friends and family are invited to join us during the last 15 minutes of camp on Friday for an art show! Learn how writers use setting, pacing, symbolism, and character flaws to build emotionally resonant and compelling tales. Have you ever wanted to try Dungeons & Dragons but found all the books and rules confusing? Find the gaming stores a bit intimidating? Welcome to the world of role-playing games at OCAC! Acting as the "dungeon master," Instructor David Patrick conducts a week-long afternoon camp with up to 10 adventurers who will create characters, roleplay, and defeat terrible monsters. Campers begin as level 1 characters. No experience necessary. Fees include a NEW D&D Player's Handbook (5th edition, 2014) for you to keep! Plus, a set of RPG dice and an OCAC t-shirt.
