Fundamentals of Picture Framing: 6 WEEKS : MAR - APRIL
Presented by ArtsConnect at ArtsConnect Cincinnati, OH
Monday, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. $125 for non-members $112.50 for members Learn how to measure and cut mats, glass, and moulding. You will frame something 11"x14" or smaller in this introductory class. Participants are asked to bring a picture or artwork to frame. Supplies included are practice materials and standard grade matt board, moulding, and glass to make a frame no larger than 11"x14". Students may purchase extra materials from the instructor to frame larger work or pick from custom styles of board and moulding. The instructor will discuss this option during class. Classes will be held on Mondays, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at ArtsConnect Springfield Township Arts Center, 9158 Winton Rd, Building A, behind the fire station. Traditional African Group Drumming: 6 WEEKS : MARCH - APR

Mondays, 6:30 p.m.- 7:30 p.m. $100 non-member / $90 member Drop-in for a single class for $20 In West Africa, rhythm is a part of everyday life. Join us as we learn some traditional and contemporary rhythms of the nations of Guinea, Mali and Senegal regions of West Africa. Drumming is fun, therapeutic and promotes unity in a group setting connecting us. Learn to be in unity while playing with others in this group class. All ages are welcome. Drums are provided, although if you have an African Djembe drum, please bring it. Register for a 6-week session or come when you can and pay a drop-in fee of $22. Classes are held at the Annex Event Center, 9158 Winton Rd, Building B (building behind ArtsConnect). All Ages - 9 yr and up (including adults) At ArtsConnect, we encourage children to explore their creativity independently to foster confidence and original thinking. While we ask that you sign your child in to class, to help your child gain the most from their class experience we kindly request that parents refrain from staying in the classroom. Beginner Quilting : 6 WEEKS : MARCH - APR

Dina will teach the basics of quilting from how to sew using a machine, cut fabric, and plan a patterned design. You will use a sewing machine and learn basic hand stitches. Use state-of-the-art machines and quilting equipment. Please provide your own fabric. Fabric may be purchased at the Sew Many Things studio if desired. Students will make a quilt top using a specific pattern. $130 non-member / $117 member Quilting is a great way to learn to sew. Each session will feature a different theme creating unique quilted works of art. Students are asked to bring various items based on the class project theme. ArtsConnect offers beginning and intermediate quilting classes. Both classes are held offsite at Sew Many Things in Wyoming. ArtsConnect is honored to partner with Dina Jacquemin of Sew Many Things, LLC in Wyoming. She is an accomplished quilter and seamstress. Classes are held at Sew Many Things in downtown Wyoming. Kids Sewing: 6 classes : MAR - APR
