Emo Orchestra Featuring The Spill Canvas

Emo Orchestra, the immersive live concert experience blending emo’s most iconic anthems with the sweeping power of a full orchestra, is proud to announce its Spring 2026 Tour, featuring acclaimed alternative rock band The Spill Canvas as special guest performers. The tour kicks off on April 7 in Nashville, with a stop in Cincinnati, OH at Taft Theatre on April 8. Known for transforming emo and alternative hits into cinematic arrangements alongside a popular band from the genre, Emo Orchestra and The Spill Canvas bring a unique show that merges nostalgia, emotional storytelling, and orchestral grandeur. Mindful Poetry Virtual Gathering (Free) - April 8th, 2026

Each year during April for National Poetry Month, The Well holds virtual space for poets and poetry lovers for an hour of nourishing community and creativity. The format is simple. In each session, we meditate, consider a single poem, receive a prompt, write, and then share with the group. Poems generated by attendees during this session can be submitted for publication in our 7th edition of the Mindful Poetry Moments anthology! This year's poems have been curated by Eddie Gonzalez. In this session... Poem: “Lullaby for the Grieving” by Ashley M. Jones Mindfulness Facilitator: Makiah Malan Poem Facilitator: Jaye Elizabeth Elijah Come with a pen, paper, and an open heart. United For Justice: An evening in support of the Ohio Innocence Project

Speakers will share the inspiring work being done to free those wrongly imprisoned, and the life-changing impact that exoneration has on individuals, families and communities. Discover the joys of painting with acrylics. No other medium can match the versatility and ease of use of acrylics. Clean-up is easy and no toxic materials are required. Acrylics are well suited to almost any subject matter and painting surface. Students can work from still-life or photographs. Participants are asked to bring their own supplies. Students will learn how to create the illusion of form through the use of shape, perspective and tonal value. Critiques develop students' abilities to think critically about their own work and maintaining their art journal will allow students to record thoughts, experiment with ideas, media, and practice ideas. Each session lasts for six weeks allowing basic skills to build over time. This program is ideal for beginners, as well as more advanced students. Students are asked to bring their own supplies. Sensei Jeff is a lifetime member of PKC Tajuwuka Kai-Do Kemp and 3rd Dan Belt. He was inducted into Sokeship Warriors Council Hall of Champions for a lifetime of dedication to Martial Arts. This Tai Chi class will go through the basics steps and poses in Tai Chi. Classes consist of 20 - 30 minute warm-ups and then move into mind-body practice. Students will learn the meditative quality and health benefits of Tai Chi. This is a rigorous work out in addition to being a meditative practice!
