Mason Community Players Present Charlie Brown

Director Tess Catlin, Producer Darren Lee, Music Director Lara Gonzalez, and Stage Manager Stephanie Dalsfoist are excited to announce the cast of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. This is the first musical and the second show of Mason Community Players' season. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown has a talented cast of seven. It features Will Sapp as Charlie Brown, Ben Essex as Linus, Kaitlyn De Witt as Lucy, James Roberts as Schroeder, Hannah Richardson as Patty, Jack Verner as Snoopy, and Rylee Combs as Woodstock. The musical comedy You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown premiered in 1967 and features music and lyrics composed by Clark Gesner. It is based on Charles M. Schulz's "Peanuts" comic strip and follows a day in the life of Charlie Brown and his friends, exploring life's challenges. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown performances will take place on May 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9 at 8 p.m., and on May 3 at 2 p.m. Tickets cost $20 for adults and $18 for seniors (additional processing fees may apply). Patrons can purchase tickets online at MasonPlayers.org, by calling 513-398-7804, or at the door. The box office opens one hour before the curtain. Linton Encore - Beethoven's Ghost Trio
Presented by Linton Chamber Music at Congregation Beth Adam Loveland, OH
The season finale includes a tempestuous and triumphant masterpiece by Mendelssohn, a centerpiece by Beethoven known as the “Ghost” for its hauntingly beautiful slow movement, and a spirited gem by Haydn. The acclaimed pianist Benjamin Hochman joins the CSO’s Stefani Matsuo, Ilya Finkelshteyn, and Randolph Bowman to close the season with this trifecta of trio works. The Business of Art: Finances for Creatives & Musicians

A conversation on finances for creatives & musicians. $10 in-person (food/drink included) or free via live Zoom webinar. Join us for The Business of Art, an engaging conversation designed for creatives and musicians who want to better understand the financial side of their work. This event brings together two unique perspectives at the intersection of art and finance. Valarie Sheppard, retired Treasurer and Controller of Procter & Gamble and founder of Legacy Soundworks Recording Studio, offers deep expertise in financial leadership and a passion for supporting creatives. She is joined by Ixi Chen, clarinetist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and founder of Music360, who brings firsthand experience navigating both the artistic and business sides of a creative career. Together, they will share insights on managing finances, building sustainability, and making informed decisions in today’s arts landscape. The evening begins with a networking hour from 5:00–6:00 PM, with food and beverages provided, followed by the conversation and presentation from 6:00–7:00 PM. Attendees will have the opportunity to connect with fellow creatives, ask questions, and gain practical knowledge they can apply immediately. In-person tickets are $10 per person, which includes food and drinks during the networking hour. A simultaneous live broadcast via Zoom is available for free for those who prefer to attend virtually. All in-person attendees will also receive access to a tour of Legacy Soundworks Recording Studio (date to be announced). St. Paul & The Broken Bones - Live in 2026

St. Paul & The Broken Bones, who NPR Music has hailed as “one of the nation’s best live bands,” release their 6th studio album, the self-titled St. Paul & The Broken Bones via their own label, Oasis Pizza Records, distributed by Thirty Tigers. The album, from the ever-evolving Southern-soul giants, signifies both a reinvention and a reunion, stretching out with the confident experimental spirit of The Alien Coast and (2022) and Angels in Science Fiction (2023), but with a warmer, accessible, and fun sound that recalls the exuberance and buoyancy of their breakout debut, Half the City (2014). St. Paul & The Broken Bones is available on all formats here. The band also announced their 28-date North American headlining tour, which will kick off in March 2026 and find the band performing in Cincinnati at Taft Theatre on May 5, 2026 with support from Brother Wallace. Intermediate Wheel Ages 15 & older, 6-week sessions $165 for non-members/ $150 for members All Supplies Included Tuesdays, 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. ArtsConnect offers pottery wheel classes for all levels: Intro, Intermediate and Advanced. Start with the Intro and progressively get better! Intro to Wheel, teaches participants the basics of throwing clay on a pottery wheel. Students will learn important pottery studio rules and procedures used in all of our pottery classes. Intro to Wheel class is mandatory for those wanting to buy a pottery studio pass to use the studio during open times. This class will help students refine their centering skills, learn to throw larger items and work on attachments such as handles and lids. Materials Included: 25 lb clay, glaze, firing and use of tools. Intermediate to Wheel is offered twice a week, Monday mornings and Thursday evenings. Once students have mastered the basic skills of the wheel then move to our Advanced Wheel class. The Advanced Wheel class offers more challenging and advanced techniques. Participants must be proficient in centering, have taken Intermediate Wheel or have instructor recommendation. The cost of each pottery class includes all supplies. Supplies provided are: 25 lb white clay, glazes, all the firing needed, and the use of our clay tools. Whether you love the aesthetic of anime and manga, graphic novels, or even cartoons - you’ll want to start with the basics! Learn how to draw characters from the ground up. Gain a better understanding of how to sketch human anatomy and create engaging line art using digital tools. Course aspects include learning how to draw a body by breaking it down into simple shapes, practicing specific poses and expressions, adding unique hair and clothing styles, and adding color to a drawing. By the end of the session students should be able to create a full-body character of their choice. All supplies including technology provided, though students may bring their own iPad and Apple Pencil if desired.
