Story Swap Cincinnati: Show & Tell
Presented by American Sign Museum at American Sign Museum Cincinnati, OH
Friday, May 1 7 – 9:30 pm (doors open at 6:30 pm) $10 for members, $20 for non-members Beverage available for purchase After sold-out shows in Pittsburgh and Dayton, Show & Tell is continuing its Midwest tour with their next stop at the American Sign Museum. Show & Tell is a traveling Story Swap show that brings storytellers from across the Midwest together for a playful night of true stories inspired by meaningful objects. Just like the kindergarten tradition we all remember, each featured teller brings something in their hands — and the story that comes with it. The stories can be funny, tender, surprising, or deeply personal, but they all start with something simple: an object that matters. What makes Show & Tell especially fun is that the audience is part of the experience. Guests are invited to bring an object of their own and some randomly drawn guests will be invited onto the stage to share a one-minute story, creating a warm, welcoming space where audience members have a chance to participate. The evening blends curated storytelling with spontaneous moments, laughter, and connection — the kind that happens when people gather to share small things that carry big meaning. Show & Tell is a joyful night that reminds us every object has a story and every person does too. (Story Swap is a conglomeration of organizers of various storytelling shows around the Midwest, including Cincinnati’s True Theatre!) This event will be ASL interpreted, thanks to the generosity of Cincinnati…
