A report, commissioned by meetNKY, the Cincinnati USA Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Cincinnati USA Regional Tourism Network, showed that, in 2017, 26.6 million visitors spent an $5.3 billion in the 15-county Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati region, supporting 80,000 jobs and generating $1.2 billion in tax revenue.

Visitors coming anywhere from 50–500 miles away move freely across the Ohio River, visiting popular attractions, and new ones are in the works: the B-Line celebrates the region’s bourbon heritage; the Arc Encounter, the Ararat Ridge Zoo, and the Northern Kentucky Convention Center will expand; and more than 1,400 hotel rooms are in development.

“These results reflect our dedication to collaborating on promoting this unique place where North and South converge,” says Eric Summe, president and CEO of meetNKY, “where bourbon and beer connect, and our merging of Midwest ingenuity and Southern hospitality.”
