How long have you lived in the Cincinnati area?
My whole life minus the 4 years I attended Howard University.

What's your day job?
Community Relations for the greatest CPG Company (Procter & Gamble).

What work or projects do you tackle after the workday ends?
I recently ended a term as a member of the Cincinnati Public School Board.  I spend all of my free time with my greatest achievement, my 6-month-old daughter, Layla.  I'm sure new projects will emerge now that I have a little more free time.

Where are your favorite places to hang out in the city?
With so many new restaurants opening every day, it's hard to pick just one, Senate and Nada are two of my favorite

What's the biggest challenge you've faced here?
Saying No. I've been fortunate to establish relationships with a lot of people in the community and I don't like letting my friends down. Lately, I have learned that it is better to say no upfront than to say yes and do a poor job. I'm getting better every day, but it is still a struggle.

What's the biggest opportunity?
The biggest opportunity is managing community relations in my hometown. Through my experiences working with the P&G Fund, I get the opportunity to work on initiatives that make the Cincinnati community better. This is truly my dream job.

What could be done to improve opportunities for young African-Americans in Cincinnati?
We need to stick together. Their are enough opportunities to go around and we all have different skill sets and backgrounds.  As new opportunities arise, we should share them. As we achieve individual milestones, we should celebrate them collectively.
