Our humble online publication was founded in February 2008, with
a mission to "climb up on this Soapbox of ours and take a look around. We exist to tell the story of a city in sustained transformation. Our goal is to have you seeing Cincinnati differently. And if we don't, you're always welcome to rant, but when you're through don't be surprised to hear us say, 'I hear you, but what are you going to do about it?'"
As we celebrate our seventh birthday, we continue to celebrate Cincinnati's sustained transformation and continue to look at, consider, question and honor that transformation from all angles.
As Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, life is a journey and not a destination. Soapbox is likewise a journey to wherever Cincinnati is headed, but it's not important that Cincinnati hits a specific target destination at a specific time — the fun, the community and the life is in the journey together.
